Being only eight miles from the
internationally renowned Greenbrier Resort, we enjoy the same
weather that led to that two hundred year old spa’s having been
founded here in the first place! In short: we have great weather in
Lewisburg. Accordingly, our well known and beloved front porch is
more than an ornament; it is a well used respite most months of the
year.
Greenbrier County, that verdant slice of pastoral majesty we call
home, is on a plateau on the leeward side of the Alleghany
Mountains, about 2,300 feet above sea level. Our elevation blesses
us with gentle breezes, unusually clear skies and the kind of air
that makes you want to breathe deeply and smile.
Generally, our guest should expect moderate days and cool evenings,
even in the depth of summer. Sunny days and limited cloud cover are
typical year round. Our mountain winters are generally mild with
just the right touch of snow. In fact, we consider ourselves lucky
to receive an occasional white Christmas. Low humidity is the norm
here too, and that helps us have the best weather in every season. |
